There are neighbours close by but the house feels private. The pretty, peaceful area is perfect for enjoying the delights of central Portugal. There are several river beaches close to the property including a local beauty spot known as 'The Gorge'. The village of Serpins is a ten minute drive and offers a good selection of amenities including restaurants, cafes, post office, supermarket, bakeries, pharmacy and petrol station. There is also a very popular river beach where you can cool off during the warm summer months, the cafe and BBQ areas are the perfect spot for entertaining family & friends. The area is also popular with walkers and cyclists.

Close by you have the larger towns of Vila Nova de Poiares and Lousã, both offering all your everyday facilities including schools, health centres, larger supermarkets, banks, vets etc.
