This property sits on a hill with great views over the valley, just a short drive into the historical town of Tomar. It is decorated with taste of both new and rustic style with a master bedroom of very big space with a mezzanine level. The house has two entrances to drive into and good space for parking. It is one level bungalow. There are several entrances to the house, one of them leads into the open plan, fully fitted kitchen with stunning cubboards and a cozy reading corner with a woodburner, through the kitchen area will lead you to the "proper" living room with another woodburner and at the end is a newly built bedroom.
On to the other side of the spacious open plan kitchen is the second bedroom of good size. Walking through the hallway you have the bathroom with a bathtub and a corner shower, walking on to your right is the very very spacious master bedroom with the third woodburner and here is also a mezzanine level made, big enough for sleeping or make into a nice office.
At the end of the hallway to your left is the forth bedroom and the exit door to one of the plenty seating areas around the grounds, this one has plenty of shade with nice views over the valley and a sunterrace. From the sun terrace you can walk the length of the house on the veranda to the kitchen entrance and the second outside eating area, a perfect place to have your barbeque.
The land is mainly at the front of the house in one terrace with plenty of fruit trees such as oranges, figs and olives. There are two wells on the property and all the water into the house and the garden is at the moment coming from the well, if you would prefer mains water, there is no problem in connecting this.
The whole house has double glazed windows except two, there is two septic tanks in place, fridge, dishwasher and the three woodburners are included in the sale.
The town of Tomar was born inside the walls of the Convento de Cristo, constructed under the orders of Gualdim de Pais, the fourth grand master of the Knights Templar in the late 12th century. Tomar is set along the banks of the Nabão River and is a delight to explore, with ancient churches, a scenic old town and pretty cobbled streets. Tomar is a traditional and pretty Portuguese town that contains one of the finest national monuments of Portugal. You will have everything you need on your doorstep, supermarkets, hospital, schools, vegetable markets, cafe's, resturantes and river beaches.
It will take you around 1 hour to drive to Lisbon airport and to Porto around 2 hours, there is direct train to Lisbon from Tomar, and the seaside is around 45 minutes away.
